AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The Richmond county Sheriff’s Office made an arrested in the murder of a young child in Allen Homes.
32-year-old Carl Gant III is accused of shooting into a home at 1102 New Savannah Road early Wednesday morning.
3-year-old Bryson Murray died about 2:20 am. His mother was also shot. Authorities say two other people were also in the home during the incident.
Gant is charged with:
- Murder
- 3 Counts of Aggravated Assault
- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
- Possession of a Firearm/Knife during a Crime
He remains in the Richmond County Jail.
