While the Big Gulp quenches a thirst, the 7-Eleven Slurpee is one of the most iconic beverages. In addition to the free drink on July 7, Bring Your Own Cup Day is another reason to enjoy that frozen beverage. With two new Slurpee flavors, there are plenty of options to enjoy one on September 13.
7-Eleven is more than just another convenience store. The brand has become part of pop culture. From specialty collaborations to its new food offerings, people choose to visit the store versus just stopping during a road trip.
7-Eleven Adds Two New Slurpee Flavors.
Ahead of Bring Your Own Cup Day, 7-Eleven added two new Slurpee flavors. They are Powerade Xtra Sour Grape Shocker Slurpee and Nerds Strawberry Slurpee. These options represent the company’s decision to pursue bigger and bolder choices across its food and beverage space.
7-Eleven
Powerade Xtra Sour Grape hits both the sweet grape note and a big sour punch. Grape has been a trending beverage flavor. It captures the newstalgia trend since it is a childhood favorite with a sour twist.
Nerds Strawberry Slurpee is another sweet tart option. The juicy strawberry hits first. Then, the tartness follows. It is a tasty balance that has people thirsty for more.

How Does 7-Eleven’s Bring Your Own Cup Day Work?
On September 13, 7-Eleven fans will head to the convenience store to participate in Bring Your Own Cup Day. The annual event allows guests to fill their own vessel with a Slurpee for just $1.99.
The rules are simple. The container must be “clean, watertight, leak-proof and able to stand upright inside the 10-inch cutout in the in-store display.” The promotion is available for Slurpees, only.
According to Randy Quinn, Senior Vice President of Vault & Proprietary Beverages at 7-Eleven, Inc., “Every Bring Your Own Cup Day, Slurpee drink fans push the limits with the most outrageous cups imaginable. It’s a can’t-miss tradition that perfectly captures the playful spirit of the Slurpee brand.”
As seen on Instagram, the excitement is building. One person said, “My cup will be 10″ but 30 feet long.” From a classic Stanley to one person mentioning making their own 3D printed cup, this event is meant to be fun and to celebrate fans’ creativity.
Who will have the most creative cup for the 7-Eleven event? Everyone will have to watch social media for all the unique options.
