Former Kaizer Chiefs star Mokete Tsotetsi believes that the club should be handing more first-team opportunities to Given Msimango.
Msimango featured eight times in the 2024-2025 Betway Premiership season.
He will compete with Inacio Miguel and the returning Rushwin Dortley for a place in the first XI next season.

Speaking to Soccer Laduma, Mokeke Tsotsetsi has called for Given Msimango to get more minutes under Nasreddine Nabi. He only made 10 appearances across all competitions in 2024-2025. That’s in stark contrast with prior campaigns where he made 30 and 26 appearances in the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 league campaigns, respectively. With Rushwin Dortley still on the long road to recovery after knee surgery, Chiefs will need Msimango at the start of 2025-2026.
“To be honest, I think Msimango didn’t get enough chances this past season. For me, he is a natural defender, and I believe he still has so much to offer the team,” Tsotetsi said.
“He can still solve the problem that Chiefs have at the back, but he has to be given enough opportunities to gain his confidence again. He has done it before, and he can do it again. I think he still has a lot to offer Chiefs. If given a chance again, I think he can add value to the team.”
