The president of VenezuelaNicolás Maduro, signed this Monday a decree of external shock in the face of “threats” from the United States that “would be activated immediately” in the event of “any type of aggression,” according to the country’s executive vice president, Delcy Rodriguez.
The official explained that this decree “gives special powers to the head of state to act in defense and security matters“in case USA “dare to attack” Venezuela, since near the country’s waters, Trump maintains a military deployment to combat drug trafficking, something that Caracas denounces as a plan to provoke a “regime change“.
