Creative thinking – Top 1 core competencies by 2027 « Future Center KI NRW

According to one Study by the World Economic Forum (WeForum) is the new one Ranking der „Future Skills“ especially around cognitive skills. The ability to think creatively comes first – can be found in the international “WEF Future of Jobs Report 2023“*. This, as the report states, applies to the coming years with a view to 2027 and sounds plausible, since digitalization and the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) in companies in particular cannot be advanced without the use of creative methods and a creative attitude. Questions such as: “Where does AI make sense for my company, where does it have a high benefit?” or “How can I approach the process of AI adoption?” drive companies forward. What can and should creative thinking be used for?

One relevant areas of application workshops in the form of “Ideas workshops“ can be used here in one 5 step process Face-to-face interviews were carried out about obstacles or unattractive routine activities. The aim is to identify “pains” and to put yourself in the interviewee’s working environment. The next step is brainwriting followed by evaluation and reflection. After prioritizing in terms of impact and feasibility, the ideas developed for possible fields of application are examined with the entire team in terms of their relevance.

Afterwards they can Application ideas be developed via a canvas with specific questions (analogous to the user experience). In the end, diverse and tailor-made application ideas are created for future IT applications in the company.

This approach includes the entire, classic creative process and can be carried out in iterative loops or a compact day workshop
