MEXICO CITY.- A control judge linked Lex Ashton to the processthe young man accused of having murdered a classmate College of Sciences and Humanities (CCH) Sur, for the crimes of qualified homicide and attempted homicide.
The measure of informal preventive detention was also set for him, so he will continue to be held in the East Prison. The judge set a period of three months for the complementary investigation.
At the end of the hearing, the defense from the CCH South student He said that the judge was omittedsince it did not allow the presentation of opinions made to Lex by psychology specialists.
“Despite all the test data and means did not allow us to release the evidence, that is, the intervention of my experts, but it was stated that indeed he was found for years valued by the Faculty of Psychology of the UNAM and obviously the judge was omitted,” said David Retes, defender of the CCH Sur student.
He pointed out that his client does not remember the event in which he was involved, which is why, he said, it is essential that his mental state be considered, since “we are not facing a common case.”
Student murders another in the CCH Sur
On September 22, 19-year-old Ashton attacked one of his companionsidentified as Jesús Israel, 16 years old, with a knife, which caused his death. Minutes later, a center worker tried to stop him, who ended up injured.
On the run, Lex Ashton jumped off a buildingwhich generated injuries to both legs and the media reported that a few days later he required brain surgery to remove a clot that formed.
