The rector’s office of the UNAM, headed by Leonardo Lomelí, formalized a request to the Government of Mexico City, of Clara Brugada, to follow up on the investigation files opened against people, presumably identified with the self-proclaimed hooded men. The Black Block…but they have not received a response.
Two and a half weeks have passed since October 2, the date on which the most violent days were recorded carried out by that group that infiltrated the mobilization and left dozens of police officers injured; Just on Wednesday one of the uniformed women left intensive care.
The seriousness of the injuries to the police officers, some of them women and some mothers, has not been a reason to accelerate the investigations and find them.
A version that, according to university sources, was intended to divert attention from those truly responsible, was planted in recent days pointing to the director of the ISSSTE, Martí Batres, as one of the characters who could be behind that group, but so far there are no indications within the university that the official is behind that violent group, and he himself came out to deny what was spread.
At UNAM they will continue to wait for the response from the Head of Government, even if it is received, regarding the investigations, while they will continue with the collection of data to provide them, in case they one day move forward.
According to these sources, in addition to the information that the capital’s Prosecutor’s Office has, such as names, nicknames, videos and photos, their meeting points have been detected and even the place where they hold their parties, there in the municipality of La Paz, in the east of the State of Mexico, so the exchange of information with the government headed by teacher Delfina Gómez would be key.
We must not forget that within the Mexican territory there are UNAM schools such as FES Acatlán or FES Aragón, or CCH Naucalpan itself. For now, there are still schools closed or under threats of violence.

The Higher School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, ESIME Culhuacán, will complete three weeks without classes. A group of young people took over the facilities and kept them closed, demanding the resignation of the director.
It all started with a failed field practice, where the students’ bus, property of the school, broke down in a remote area of Veracruz. The students spent the night on the road, afraid because the roads in this state are among the most dangerous. They sent a truck to support them, but it got stuck.
Although the demand for greater resources for this school is reasonable, which is why the general director of the National Polytechnic Institute, Arturo Reyes Sandoval, should do the math and consider improvements to the infrastructure, materials and vehicles of this engineering school, there should be a follow-up to this school closure, since the students are falling further and further behind… Not because it is far from Zacatenco will they forget that campus.
