Inmates of the South Prison make monumental alebrije for the Popular Art Museum Parade

Talent behind the walls

The agency explained that the project is part of the actions that promote art, collaboration and the reconstruction of the social fabric within penitentiary centers.

Every part of the process – from the design and structure to the decoration – was carried out inside the prison, reflecting the talent and discipline of the inmates.

On display on Paseo de la Reforma

After the parade that It will take place this Saturday, October 18, starting at 12:00 p.m.with the pparticipation of 214 alebrijes. coming from CDMX, the State of Mexico and other states, with a three-kilometer route, on Paseo de la Reforma, between the Ángel de la Independencia and Lieja Street, near the Estela de Luz, The piece will remain on display along with the other works of the 17th MAP Monumental Alebrijes Parade.
