Everyone makes silly mistakes when they’re young — and celebs aren’t exempt from that. One of the most common blips during our late teens and early twenties is getting a tattoo, often without thought or meaning behind it, other than the fact that ‘it looks cool’. Hey, I’m guilty of it too. I even remember my mum telling me I’d regret my first ink at 18 and, surprise surprise, I do. So, in honour of all the dodgy tattoos paid for in the name of youth, we thought we’d take a look at some of the most regrettable celebrity ones. From Hailey Bieber to Khloé Kardashian, here are 10 high-profile names who admit they may have made a permanent mistake… (Picture: Getty Images)

1. Olivia Wilde

Around eight years ago, Olivia Wilde told former The Late Late Show host Craig Ferguson that she got a ‘really bad’ tattoo when she was 13 of a dragon on her left bottom cheek. She told the host: ‘I was in New York City and I thought it was a great idea, it had a lot of meaning at the time but now it’s hideous.’ While some people opt to laser their tattoos, Olivia has decided it’s a keeper. In 2023, the now 41-year-old shared an Instagram post celebrating her 39th birthday. In the caption, she wrote: ’39 and feeling fine … Here’s to whatever’s next. Probably not another tramp stamp but who knows.’ Side note: who is tattooing 13-year-olds anyway?! (Picture: Getty Images)

2. Hailey Bieber

However, she also had a handgun on her middle finger, which she got when she was 18. She told Elle when she was 24: ‘I was like, “Yeah! That looks cool.” But now, as a 24-year-old, I would never do that. I think guns are violent’ (Picture: Getty Images)

3. Khloé Kardashian

Pamela Anderson’s barbed wire tattoo around her left arm was iconic and became synonymous with the star for years. For those unfamiliar with the story, she actually got the ink specifically for her role in the 1996 film Barb Wire and avoided the need to have the tattoo applied with makeup every day on set. Talk about commitment, hey? However, she decided to remove the ink in 2014. That year, a friend reportedly told the Daily Mail: ‘Pamela is seeing the effects of age and hard living on her body. Her skin is getting soft. She feels like her tattoos are going to become eyesores. She’s not a kid anymore’ (Picture: Getty Images)

Kelly said having the tattoos removed was ‘1000000000000 worse than getting the tattoo’ (Picture: Getty Images)
