Expansion and Digitalization with 15 Million Euros

BMcar, one of the main representatives of the BMW Group in the Iberian Peninsula, announced an investment of 15 million euros between 2025 and 2026 to expand and modernize its operations, within the scope of the “Mission One” strategic plan.

This investment reinforces the company’s role in mobility in Portugal, providing for the creation of new jobs and the revitalization of the cities where it operates.

With this plan, the BMcar hopes to reach a turnover of 500 million euros in 2025 and increase its market share by 25% by 2027, with the ambition of exceeding 1,500 million euros in turnover by the end of the period.

The strategy includes the launch of BMcar Online 2.0 and strengthening the skills of its Digital Transformation Center, which aims to simplify processes and improve the online shopping experience. Furthermore, BMcar has already started opening two new dealerships in Guimarães and Famalicão and is preparing the opening of BMW Motorrad in Porto, creating more than 20 new direct jobs.

Currently, the BMcar has around 40 thousand regular customers and already 70% of its new vehicle sales are electric or hybrid models.

Pedro Rodrigues, CEO of BMcar, states that “the mission is clear” and involves “anticipating trends and responding to an increasingly digital, demanding and conscious consumer. We want to lead this new automotive era in Portugal, combining technology, sustainability and proximity”.

A BMcar closed 2024 with the best result in its history, with growth of 55% in Portugal and 171% in international operations between 2022 and 2024, exceeding 470 million euros in turnover and selling more than 10,500 units.

The new “Mission: ONE” Strategic Plan aims to sell 35,000 vehicles and carry out more than 300,000 after-sales interventions.
