Mexico City, October 20 (However).- The Secretary of Welfare, Ariadne Montiel Reyespresented the progress of the operational national to directly attend to the families affected because of the rains in Hidalgo, Queretaro, Puebla, San Luis Potosi y Veracruzwith special attention to mountainous and difficult-to-access areas.
In a morning conference by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, Montiel reported that so far 70,445 homes have been censused, with Veracruz concentrating the largest number of registrations.
The collection of information has already concluded in Querétaro, Puebla, San Luis Potosí and Veracruz, while in Hidalgo it continues in the Otomí-Tepehua mountain range, with air transfers and additional brigades to guarantee full coverage.
The federal official reported that the operation has 25 active camps, Wellness modules in strategic municipalities such as Poza Rica and Álamo, and the participation of the IMSS-Wellness and the National Institute of Older Persons (Inapam), which provide health support and care to older people.
The plan also includes relocation strategies for families living in risk areas, such as slopes and river beds, coordinated with the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (Sedatu).
