President Sheinbaum questioned the lack of sensitivity in the relaunch of the PAN, while thousands of victims suffer from the rains and floods, as well as the presence of the “same people as always” at the party’s political event.
Mexico City, October 20 (However).– The President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo he questioned this morning the “relaunching” of the National Action Party (PAN), which was presented over the weekend with logo change and a march, highlighting the insensitivity of doing so when thousands of people suffer the consequences of the devastating rains e floods in several parts of the center of the country, in addition to indicate the presence of the same political figures always between right.
“I would rather say that there was very little sensitivity on the day they did it to begin with, that is, there are tens of thousands of families affected, with problems, and in the middle of that a political party is relaunched. They could have waited 15 days, right? Until we defined that the emergency was lifted,” Sheinbaum said in his morning conference this Monday.
“I think that speaks of their vision, and their lack of sensitivity and love for the people. It speaks volumes the day they launch. And second, it is in the same place and with the same people. The truth is,” he highlighted.

The national leader of the PAN, Jorge Romero Herrera, announced this Saturday the new logo of his political organization, which is part of a “relaunching” given the poor results obtained in the last federal elections by the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI).
The new image of the PAN was announced after an event to relaunch the party and a march that started this Saturday from the Monument to the Revolution, in Mexico City (CdMx). The logo eliminated the blue circle from the previous figure, exchanging it for two curves that surround the party’s initials, which show a slight inclination to the right, while the colors of said symbol are more intense, reaching shades of black.
At the ceremony, Romero Herrera reiterated part of the principles of National Action, whose party assured that there will be no alliances towards the 2027 midterm elections, after the fiasco of the PRIAN alliance, designed by businessman Claudio
“Today I had the privilege of addressing each and every PAN member of Mexico. I spoke to them from the heart: about the importance of staying united, faithful to our principles and committed to Mexican families,” said Jorge Romero Herrera within the framework of the presentation of the PAN logo, in addition to reiterating some of the conservative principles of his party.

However, as President Sheinbaum highlighted, the PAN relaunched in the days following the serious damage suffered by several entities in the center of the country from a series of devastating rains that left thousands of victims, some of whom lost everything in the subsequent floods, and who are struggling to survive and move forward despite the tragedy.
The same weekend as the relaunch of the PAN, the number of deaths caused by the emergency already amounts to 76, according to the latest report from federal authorities. The atypical rainfall caused flooding and landslides in 108 municipalities of Veracruz, Hidalgo, Puebla, San Luis Potosí and Querétaro.
According to the data presented on Saturday, in parallel with the PAN celebration, four more people died compared to the figure reported a day before: two of them in Veracruz, which now has 34 deaths; one more in Hidalgo, which accumulates 22 deaths; and Puebla adds another death, bringing this entity to 19 fatalities. Querétaro has one death and San Luis Potosí (SLP) has no deaths so far.
Regarding people reported missing, the number dropped from 29 to 20 in Hidalgo. The data remained the same in Veracruz, which reports 14. Puebla, for its part, has five registered disappearances. There are no reports in Querétaro or San Luis Potosí. In total, 39 people are missing.

For her part, the Morenista leader shared a publication on social networks in which she revealed a list of characters who attended the PAN relaunch event, to justify why the cherry party criticized and questioned this announcement.
“Why do we talk about the relaunch of the PAN being the same unpresentable people as always? Look at this list and draw your own conclusions,” Alcalde published.
