Through a video on social networks, the capital’s president thanked the citizens for their solidarity help, which added to the support with groceries in some of the 32 collection centers enabled in the capital.
“More than 200 public servants of the City are working, supporting the work in Poza Rica and Álamo. I also want to thank the population who has come to give their support, we have carried around 200 tons this week,” he mentioned when inviting continued support.
In support of families affected by the intense rains, Mexico City opened 32 health centers collection in the 16 municipalitiesto help victims in the municipalities of Poza Rica and Álamo, in Veracruz.
Among the items required are non-perishable foods such as tuna, rice, beans, water, powdered milk and oil; cleaning supplies such as sanitary pads, diapers, bar soap, toilet paper, toothpaste, and toothbrushes. In addition to medications such as paracetamol, antidiarrheals, bandages, cotton, gauze and alcohol, as well as animal kibble, blankets and raincoats.
