“Surely in December we will have the presidential initiative, December-January, and by then we will develop the work closest to the deputies, because that will be our power and our function to approve or not the content, the initiative and the proposals that arise from there,” he stated.
He pointed out that they are not rushing, since they listen to and read all the proposals that arise around the presidential commission for electoral reform.
He explained that since they won with the current rules they have promoted change in the electoral system. He assured that the electoral reforms were pressured by the opposition, who had lost the election.
“Now it is the government itself that promotes the electoral reform and it seems to me that it is new, innovative. Now we have to see the content that will surely also be progressive and benefit the democratic improvement of the life of the country,” he said.
