Meat Feast lovers are in mourning after more than 70 Pizza Huts (and their neverending buffets) are in danger of closure after a franchisee announced it was going into administration.
The chain, which serves 3million Brits a month, has tried to boost sales with their 2,880 calorie Cheeseburger stuffed crust pizza, re-released The Edge (a 90s pizza with no crust at all) and even an unlimited salad bar.
But the American giant, which first arrived on British shores in 1973, announced on Monday more than 75 dine-in restaurants and 741 jobs operated by DC London Pie, Ltd, are at risk, as they weren’t part of a last-minute rescue deal.
Almost 1,300 jobs have been saved after American hospitality company Yum! Brands bought the UK restaurant operation which has 10,000 employees working in over 260 restaurants.

In a statement, Pizza Hut said: ‘We announce the acquisition of the Pizza Hut dine-in operations through a pre-packaged administration, after FTI was announced today as administrators of DC London Pie Limited, a franchisee of Pizza Hut dine-in restaurants.’
Yum! Brands already owns the global Pizza Hut business.
Nicolas Burquier, Managing Director International Operating Markets, said: ‘This targeted acquisition aims to safeguard our guest experience and protect jobs where possible. Our immediate priority is operational continuity at the acquired locations and supporting colleagues through the transition.’
DC London Pie, the firm running Pizza Hut’s restaurants in the UK, appointed administrators on Monday.
