On Tuesday, Oct.21, authorities responded to a call at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. The call was for an unresponsive unidentified male, with reports stating the status was later changed to a “dead person.”
According to reports by the Walt Disney World: Active Calls account, police received a call at 7:32 a.m. of a “person down.” They responded to the location that is mostly made up of camper vehicles and tents.
It was later reported that the call was changed to the person having died. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office told People that the male had a medical emergency.
“A man in his 60s experienced a medical episode and was transported to a local hospital, where unfortunately he died,” they said.
Authorities also added that they suspect no foul play was involved, with Walt Disney not having issued an official statement.
The male’s death marks the second incident within a week, as a woman was found dead at Walt Disney World’s Contemporary Resort near the Magic Kingdom park on Oct. 14. She was later identified as Summer Equitz, with police ruling her death an apparent suicide.
In early October, Disneyland also reported the death of a 60-year-old guest. Police arrived at the Haunted Mansion attraction to find the woman unresponsive. Disneyland security had administered CPR after she finished the ride.
Her cause of death has not officially been determined, as she was pronounced dead once arriving at a local hospital.
