MEXICO CITY.- The capital’s Ministry of Health reported the death of victim number 32 derived from the gas pipe explosion on the Concordia Bridge in the Iztapalapa mayor’s office.
It is about Tiffany Cano Gonzálezdaughter of Misael Cano Rodríguezwho was a worker in the urban image area of the Iztapalapa mayor’s office, and who also died as a result of said explosion recorded on September 10.
The 17-year-old girl had been hospitalized at the National Rehabilitation Institute for more than a month. While his son, Isaí Santiago He remains under medical care at the Tacubaya Hospital.
On the day of the accident, Misael Cano was traveling in a car with his daughter Tiffany and his grandson Isaíwhen the fire reached them. According to the family, Misael had burns on 100% of his body and was taken to the National Rehabilitation Institute, where he died hours later.
Victims of the pipe explosion in Iztapalapa
One month and 11 days after the pipe explosion, the Ministry of Health reported that 32 people died, 5 are still hospitalized (two of them minors) and 47 were discharged.
Among the people who lost their lives due to this tragedy is the pipe driver, Fernando Soto; and Alicia Matías Teodoro, remembered as the “heroine grandmother” for having saved her granddaughter Jackyn Azuletwho is currently in the United States receiving specialized care, as he had burns on 25% of his body.
