With the clear message that “prevention saves lives”the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) continues with the actions of breast cancer awareness when holding an informative talk aimed at your staff, with the purpose of strengthen the culture of self-care and timely detection.
The talk was given by Maria Jose Valenciaspecialist in radiology and imaging of the Yucatan Health Secretariatwho with the support of graphics and demonstrations explained the correct way to perform self-examinationas well as the importance of carrying out preventive studies periodically.
When inaugurating the activity, the State Attorney General, Juan Manuel León Leónhighlighted that promoting information spaces within the institution is part of the commitment to the comprehensive well-being of the staff.
“Beyond our daily tasks, we must also take care of ourselves, support ourselves and raise awareness. Health is a priority,” he expressed.
During the talk, which was attended by more than 50 collaborators, the specialist clarified myths around mammography and emphasized that losing fear and knowing your own body can make a difference.
“Mammography should not cause fear. It is a tool that can save lives by detecting cancer in early stages,” he stressed.
Before concluding, María José Valencia invited the attendees to undergo an immediate examination and thanked the FGE staff for the interest shown.
With these types of actions, the Prosecutor’s Office reaffirms its commitment to prevention, well-being and raising awareness within the institution, promoting a work culture in which health care is also part of social justice.
