The cost of electricity will increase starting in November in these States

The Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) announced that, with the end of the summer subsidy, nine states of the Republic will be forced to pay a higher rate starting November 1.

Like every year, The CFE offers a preferential price with the aim of alleviating the high costs of electricity bills in areas where the heat is so intense. and the constant use of electronic devices is required to cope with it.

Officially known as the tariff Domestic High Consumption (DAC)this measure foresees that the price of electricity will be reduced for six months a year in homes where temperatures can exceed 45 degrees.

However, when the hot season ends, the subsidy is eliminated and the price per kilowatt-hour returns to its usual rate.

This measure is exclusive for domestic use and only applies in areas with greater electrical demand due to heat, such as Baja California, Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Sonora, Nuevo León, Sinaloa, Nayarit and Tamaulipas.

Therefore, with the recent arrival of autumn, Families that exceed the average consumption established by the CFE will begin to notice an increase in their electricity bill as of November 1.

However, households that maintain moderate energy consumption will be able to pay bills similar to those in the subsidized months.
