The Chilean singer and songwriter My Farter presented his new album Femme Fatalea work in which he delves into more introspective and gloomy territories, marked by the jazz, alternative pop and a deep emotional charge.
During the press conference, the artist acknowledged that this album represents “a process of acceptance” and a mature look at her own vulnerability.
“I think I discovered how to accept my darkness, sit down and say: this is who I am,” confessed the singer of Your lack of wantingwho assured that the album is the most honest of his career.

“There are songs that cost me a lot to record, some still make me cry,” he admitted, remembering Veracruzdedicated to a deceased person, and One Thirtya poem in the rhythm of free jazz that addresses violence crudely.

Femme Fatale It is composed of 14 songs that, according to its official statement, oscillate between the sophistication of jazz and the immediacy of alternative pop. In them, Mon turns everyday life into political and poetic metaphorby exploring the limits between the intimate and the collective.
“It’s not an album to stay relevant among young people,” he said. “I am a 40-year-old woman and I wanted to do something true to my moment.”
The collaborations include Nathy Peluso, Natalia Lafourcade y Silvana Estradaartists who, she said, embody different forms of feminine strength. “They are all goddesses,” he said.
The concept of the album, inspired by the classic figure of the femme fatale, seeks to redefine that archetype. “They were dangerous women for being free. I love that, because I am also a free woman,” she commented.
Laferte, nominated this year for the Latin Grammy by Another liberal night and for the long video clip of her project, she also reiterated her commitment to women’s rights, remembering her historic protest in 2019. “My head remains the same. Femmes fatales are free women, and that freedom remains my flag.”

Visually, the album’s art was done by Neil Krughead photographer of Lana Del Reyan icon whom Laferte considers his “dream collaboration.” The cover, created in a hotel in the Tobaccoin the Mexico Cityevokes the glamor and melancholy of 1950s cinema, with nods to figures such as Marilyn Monroe y Billie Holiday.
The artist announced that she is already preparing the presentation tour of Femme Fatale and a live session recorded in a bathroom, with all the musicians playing live.
“Crudeness, nostalgia and beauty coexist in this album. It is my way of saying that I am not afraid to inhabit the darkness,” he concluded.
