Coronation Street star Ryan Mulvey has sparked fears that he is set to leave the ITV soap after referring to himself as an ‘unemployed’ actor.
The Brody Michaelis star took to Tiktok to give fans an insight into a day in his life, but his choice of title set alarm bells ringing for his followers.
‘Life of an unemployed actor,’ he titled the video, before showing a series of clips including a session at the gym and him cooking.
The comments were understandably filled with concerned Corrie fans, asking for clarification on Brody’s future.
‘Is Brody leaving then?’ One fan wrote, while another questioned: ‘Unemployed??? Please tell me Brody hasn’t left!’
‘Wait what? You. Leaving Corrie?’ A third said, while another asked: ‘is brody leaving?’
Thankfully, Metro understands that Ryan is not set to exit Coronation Street. Panic over!
Since his arrival on the cobbles, Brody has gained himself a reputation of being a bad boy, after a stint in the STC and several more crime sprees.
Most recently, he has been working for Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) as part of his car theft operation.
Things took a worrying turn for the teen when he was caught red-handed by James Bailey (Jason Callender), but fortunately Carl arrived just in time and managed to talk them out of trouble.
Elsewhere, Brody has been involved in somewhat of a love triangle with friend Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne), with both lads fighting for the affection of Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin).
When I chatted to the trio at the Inside Soap Awards last month, they teased some ‘nice scenes’ ahead, as well as more of that love triangle.

‘[Brody and Betsy are] next door neighbours now, so that’s always nice in the Street,’ Ryan told me.
‘It’s nice, you have all these dramatic, big scenes, so sometimes we have a little flirty scene or a little comedy scene and it’s always nice.’
Sydney Martin was quick to add: ‘It’s a nice little fiery chemistry.’
‘If the spark lights, it lights and if it doesn’t, it doesn’t. So we’ll see what happens,’ Ryan continued.
Meanwhile, Liam McCheyne teased: ‘There’s going to be loads of drama. The relationship between Dylan and Brody, and Dylan and Betsy, that’s going to be a bit of a triangle that everyone’s liking.
‘Whether Dylan and Betsy will get together I don’t know. Me and Syd work really well off screen.’

Prior to his Coronation Street role, Ryan was a Hollyoaks regular, playing the role of JJ Osborne.
He was involved in a harrowing and difficult storyline which saw JJ sexually abuse sister Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith).
The abuse lasted for years, before Frankie worked up the courage to tell Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor-Dawson) and report JJ for his crime.
She finally got justice when JJ was sent to prison.
