The market for high-protein items is booming. While it’s been that way for awhile, things are only speeding up, not slowing down. Every day it seems there is a new item on supermarket shelves that boasts a lot of protein to help you meet your goals. Whether that’s a new bar or shake, protein coffee, protein pop, protein water, nostalgic treats or a new powder to try, the opportunities are endless.
Quest Nutrition, known for their indulgence-inspired protein snacks, has added a new treat to their lineup – Donuts. As part of their Bake Shop line, which includes cookies and muffins, they’ve added Quest Bake Shop Chocolate Frosted Donuts to continue to appeal to their fan’s desires for delicious ways to get their protein in.
The new donut’s nutrition facts panel boasts 14-grams of protein, 13-grams of fiber and less than 1-gram of sugar with 210-calories. It’s protein is sourced from whey protein isolate and milk protein isolate, as well as wheat protein isolate and egg white protein. It’s fiber comes from polydextrose, a derivative of glucose that’s low in calories and sugar, as well as citrus fiber and soluble corn fiber.
“This launch represents a major milestone for Quest as we expand into new snacking moments,” said Stuart Heflin, SVP and general manager at Quest Nutrition, as reported by Vending Market Watch. “We’ve taken everything people love about donuts and reimagined them through our protein-first lens.”
Quest fans are excited to try the new Bake Shop Donuts after seeing a reveil on Instagram. “Yessssssss I know I’m going to love these”, exclaimed one person. “I NEED to try this, wow!”, said another one. “Can’t wait till my order from Amazon gets here tomorrow!”, stated one more person.
Another person who had a chance to give one of the chocolate frosted Donuts a try seems to be quite pleased. “It actually tastes like a donut and the chocolate is really good”, they said. “They are sooo good!! Congrats on this one and thank you for continuing to do what you do!”, said one more.
With the donut’s vanilla-flavored base and rich chocolate frosting adorned with rainbow-colored sprinkles, it appeals to a wide variety of health-conscious consumers. Each donut is individually wrapped and comes in a box of 4. They are now available for purchase on Amazon.com and in retailers nationwide. You can use Quest’s website’s store locator to find the donuts near you.
Quest’s Bake Shop line also offers twin-packs of Birthday Cake Frosted Cookies, Chocolate Frosted Cookies and Strawbery Cake Frosted Cookies, as well as Chocolate Brownies. Additionally, they have a line of Bake Shop Muffins that includes Chocolate Chip and Blueberry varieties.
Quest’s original line of protein bars, including their ever-popular Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Peanut Butter flavors, remain best-sellers, as do their Protein Cookies, Candy, Protein Shakes, Protein Powder and Salty Snacks. They’ve also recently introduced Protein Iced Coffee and Protein Milkshakes to their line of goodies.
