LThe federal president reported that the investigations into fiscal huachicol include US businessmen, due to the origin of the fuel that enters the country illicitly.
Mexico City, October 23 (However).- The President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo revealed this Wednesday that the open research folders for the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) about huachicol fiscal include businesspeople Americansdue to alleged participation in the illegal entry of fuel from USA (EU) a Mexico.
During her morning conference at the National Palace, the federal president explained that some of these investigations have already been presented to judges to request arrest warrants, while others are still ongoing.
“Some have already been presented to the Judge to obtain arrest warrants; others will have to be reported by the Prosecutor’s Office. But there are American businessmen in the investigation files. It cannot be explained that fuel comes from the United States to Mexico,” he explained.
The head of the Executive boasted that the fiscal huachicol has decreased significantly thanks to investigations, arrests and greater customs surveillance. In addition, he pointed out that this change is reflected in the increase in gasoline sales directly by Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex).
“It is already much less, that is very important, because, [fue] based on the investigation that was carried out, the arrests that have been made and the greater surveillance that customs has in place… In addition, we see this in the increase in direct gasoline sales from Pemex,” he explained.
“But there are investigation folders. So, I repeat: it could not be explained how illegal fuel enters, or entered illegally, or enters even in smaller proportions without there being someone on the other side,” he highlighted.
He also reported that the United States Department of Justice is also carrying out investigations related to this illicit scheme, which confirms the binational nature of the case.
