One of the areas affected in Hidalgo by the heavy rains and floods that occurred a couple of weeks ago in the country suffered new damage, after the passage of a helicopter carrying humanitarian aid caused the roofs of some homes to fall off.
The moment was captured by residents of the community of Cerro Chiquito, belonging to the municipality of Tenango de Doria. According to reports, The strong wind generated by the propellers of the aerial vehicle, piloted by elements of the National Guard, caused the roofs and sheets of several houses to detach.

The incident occurred on the night of Tuesday, October 21, when the helicopter that was transporting supplies to the Otomí-Tepehua area of the state of Hidalgo was carrying out maneuvers to land.

Although the images generated concern on social networks, no injuries were reported. According to local reports, at least 10 homes suffered structural damage due to this incident. After the event, personnel from the National Guard and Civil Protection of Hidalgo returned to the site to carry out an assessment of the damage, which, municipal authorities indicated, will serve to channel immediate support.

Laura Velázquez, national coordinator of Civil Protection, reported that in this entity 74 populations remain incommunicado; 10 of them could not be reached by land or air.
The governor of Hidalgo, Julio Menchaca Salazar, described this as one of the worst climate phenomena that has affected the state, leaving damage in 28 municipalities.
Every day, 21 helicopters fly to support the emergency, especially in places with difficult access by land, bringing supplies and transporting patients who require urgent medical attention.
