Contrary to what many believe, The capital’s Metro does have a warehouse in which all the things found in its cars are collected and stored.
According to its official website, forgotten items are kept for up to three months and, if not claimed by anyone, they are transferred to government agencies to be donated to social charity programs.
To recover lost property, it is necessary to file a report in the Lost and Found Office, which is located at the Candelaria Station (above the transfer corridor) of Line 4 and has opening hours from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Likewise, you can request help by telephone through the following numbers:
- 55-5627-4643
- 55-8926-0732
- 55-8926-0727
The opening hours are the same.
In addition, the Metro authorities made available to the public a complete list of all the items recovered and kept in custody, so that those who lost something can identify their belongings.
