Hidalgo has 603 million pesos of inconsistencies in federal funds: ASF

The Government of Hidalgo, led by the Morenoist Julio Menchaca, 603.8 million pesos have pending to be clarified before the Superior Audit of the Federation (ASF).

According to the second installment of the 2024 Public Account, the largest observation was in the Contribution Fund for the Strengthening of Entities, with an amount of 532.3 million pesos, as well as another observation for 89 million pesos due to anomalies in the verification of Federal Participations.

The Audit asked the Government of Julio Menchaca to clarify why there is no “justifying and corroborative” information of 530,983,221.30 pesos (five hundred and thirty million
nine hundred eighty-three thousand two hundred twenty-one pesos 30/100 MN), for irregularities in the contracts” of the state water operator.

During the review, they found “inconsistencies in the signatures of the construction resident and the construction superintendent, present in the photographic reports of the estimates, completion letter and settlement record, in comparison with the documents
delivered during the development of the audit”.

Another of the ASF’s conclusions is that “probable damage or harm, or both, to the Federal Public Treasury is presumed in the amount of 1,285,830.64 pesos (one million two hundred eighty-five thousand eight hundred thirty pesos 64/100 MN)plus the financial returns generated from its disposal until its return to the Treasury of the Federation, for not proving that the property where the work was carried out under contract NOR-2024-ADM-FAFEF-SIPDUS-IAAMEH-EPR-036 is property of the audited entity, in breach of the General Law of Government Accounting.”
