Nursing holders “must have the professional license or provisional authorization to act as an intern, as appropriate, issued by the competent educational authority, in accordance with the applicable legal provisions.”
One of the locks “will only be able to prescribe medications when they provide their service to health care establishments in the National Health System that provide services Primary health careincluding mobile units, brigades, social and community programs.”
At the same time, “they may only prescribe medications that are included in the National Compendium of Health Suppliesin the terms of these Guidelines and must use the institutional prescription format provided for this purpose by the institution in which they provide their services.
It also indicates that “the prescription of medications must be carried out based on the applicable regulations, including Mexican official standardstechnical guidelines, care protocols and clinical practice guides that, where appropriate, are issued, endorsed, adopted or adapted by the Ministry of Health. Likewise, compliance with applicable regulations on pharmacovigilance must be observed.”

“Interns in the professions of Medicine, Homeopathic Medicine, Dental Surgeon and Veterinary Medicine who are providing their social service in health care establishments of the National Health Systemwill be able to carry out the prescription, in their respective areas of training,” the document indicates.
