Cholyn Garza: Who governs Mexico?

It could be said that the president is the one who governs our country; in our case, a woman who for the first time achieved the highest honor granted to a politician through the vote of the citizens.

However, when other interests come into play, completely unrelated to the election rules, the main objective of giving certainty and validity to the will of the voters at the polls is lost.

There were many elections in which doubt arose when hearing the name of the winner, always from the same party that governed the country. Given so much dissatisfaction on the part of citizens, the Federal Electoral Institute was born. The alternation arrived because the votes were counted by citizens.

Later, converted into the National Electoral Institute, it continued to offer the certainty that the electorate demanded regarding respect for the vote cast at the polls. Everything went very well, because the INE officials were trustworthy people.

Furthermore, the citizens, our neighbors, friends, family, on the day of Election Day were in charge of the election.

They have been the ones—with everything and the flaws that may have existed—who took care of the election until delivering the electoral packages to the INE offices.

It is sad that even the INE has been “kidnapped” to make it a hostage at the service of a government that has not respected institutions. Who governs in Mexico? We already know who. What a shame! That they have to tell us abroad what many refuse to accept, when it is clearer than daylight.

When Sheinbaum began his mandate, he was able to begin to reverse all the mistakes that his predecessor had committed. More than clumsiness, they were scoundrels, because whoever with every intention commits arbitrary acts against his country is not worthy of wearing the Presidential Sash.

With every intention, he was destroying institutions created by previous governments, which had a purpose. Institutions that worked; If there was something to modify, it would have been done without having to destroy its entire structure.

You always have to evaluate what you have and respect what works; modify something that is not convenient or has not given results and discard what is definitely not important.

Never in the way they did it, with animosity, with lies, creating a hostile environment among citizens to achieve their purposes. Hatred that is sown without any justification sooner or later is reversed.

The truth has to see the light, sooner or later.

The ruling party did not win a majority in Congress. Whoever governed knows it very well and who came to power with the “overwhelming” majority that he boasts about so much.

With traps, with threats, they reached the qualified majority they required to do and undo as they pleased with the initiatives they already had prepared.

Initiatives that belong to the greatest destroyer that Mexico has ever had, to which it has committed the worst betrayal that our country could have had.

Mexico is today immersed in violence caused by criminal groups that operate in Mexico and have been given free rein to act. How to deny it? How to hide it or justify it? Is it the price that must be paid for the support provided in elections?

The mafias exist because they were allowed to expand in the territory. A true ruler—man or woman—is bound to deliver results. You have the army (which was distracted by other matters that its commanders should never have accepted) the same as the Navy; today stained in their honor due to suspicions of corruption.

There is no reason to bother if you know it is true. Not only have those who should ensure the good of the Nation destroyed institutions; They have betrayed the commitment they made. They have shamelessly robbed us, they have allowed good and hard-working people to die with their complicit silence because they could no longer give in to extortion. Stolen assets, hospitals in decay and more, much more is what a destructive regime is leaving behind.

As if that were not enough; Since there are no resources, the SAT goes on the bonuses. Is it fair? What more do we have to endure?

And until when?
