A man, suspected of committing several crimes of sexual abuse of children and two crimes of aggravated rape, which occurred in the Peniche area, was arrested by the Judiciary Police.
This is a 47-year-old individual, foreigner, legal resident in Portugal, who was sexually abused and raped two children.
“One of the victims, aged 13, is the suspect’s stepdaughter and was subject to significant sexual acts inside her own home, since she was 10 years old”, says the PJ in a statement.
“The other minor, aged 14, was allegedly raped twice during the last week, in a house to which the suspect had access, owned by some friends who entrusted him with the key to check the mail and maintenance”, he adds.
The facts were reported on Friday, October 24th, and after investigation and collection of evidence led to the arrest outside the crime.
Already present to the judicial authorities for the first judicial interrogation, the suspect was subject to the coercive measure prohibiting contact with the victims, immediate departure from his home and bi-weekly presentations at GNR posts in Peniche.
