The artificial intelligence (AI) could help doctors make glaucoma screening tests are widely available, a recent study says.
A trained AI program correctly identified glaucoma patients 88 to 90 percent of the time, compared with 79 to 81 percent for human undergraduates, researchers reported Saturday at a meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) in Orlando, Florida.
