Yareli Acevedo became world queen in the points race event in the Track World Championship 2025held in Santiago de Chile.

With a big smile and the Mexican flag in her hands, Acevedo, 24 years old, walked the track receiving recognition from the fans, who saw the UNAM student become the first Latin American to achieve this title in the history of the competition.

“I want the children to see that it is possible (…) with work and discipline, they can achieve it. In Latin America there is a lot of talent, and it is good that this has been achieved,” he mentioned to the media.
Acevedo, who won the gold medal a few months ago in the Track Cycling Nations Cup in Türkiye, continues to add achievements with a view to a memorable performance in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
