The CdMx continues with the celebrations on the occasion of the Day of the Dead with the Catrinas Procession and the inauguration of the Monumental Offering in the Zócalo.
Mexico City, October 26 (However).- The streets of the Mexico City (CdMx) were filled with color this Sunday with the now traditional Procession of Catrinas 2025which takes place every year prior to the celebration of the Day of the Deadon November 2.
In addition, today the Offering Monumental that was installed in the Plinth capital, which pays tribute to 12 female personalities and pre-Hispanic deities. The event was led by the Head of Government, Clara Brugada.
The Day of the Dead is considered one of the most representative festivities of Mexican culture, which is why different activities are carried out in the country’s capital prior to November 2, in order to commemorate this tradition.





This Sunday, the Paseo de la Reforma and the main streets of the Historic Center of Mexico City were filled with color with the Catrinas Procession 2025, which has already become a tradition in the country’s capital to celebrate the Day of the Dead.
As part of this unique parade, hundreds of catrinas and catrines dressed in all kinds of outfits: from typical costumes from different regions of the country, to workers from different trades, who toured the main avenues of the capital, accompanied by floats full of lights and colors.
The contingent left around 6:00 p.m. from the Angel of Independence heading to the capital’s Zócalo, and during their journey they were accompanied by thousands of attendees, among whom there were people of all ages and entire families who gathered to live to the fullest one of the most important traditions in Mexico.

Monumental Offering inaugurated in the Zócalo of CdMx
The Head of Government of the CdMx inaugurated this Sunday the Monumental Offering 2025 which was installed in the Zócalo of CdMx, as part of the events organized by the capital’s Government to commemorate the Day of the Dead.
Named “Encounter between voices, poems, pilgrimage, history and tradition”, this piece pays tribute to a dozen female personalities and pre-Hispanic deities such as Tonantzin, Cuerauáperi and Ixmucané, which represent the strength and memory of the native peoples.
It should be noted that for this mega offering, figures several meters high were installed, in addition to using more than 100 thousand marigold flowers, which were grown by Mexican peasants.
The Monumental Offering will remain in the Zócalo of the CdMx starting this Sunday, October 26 and until Sunday, November 2, Day of the Dead.
