Deutsche Börse posted an unexpectedly high profit in the third quarter of the year, which strengthens confidence in the achievement of its annual targets. Despite a less volatile stock market, profits for shareholders increased by six percent to 473 million euros. This development exceeded the expectations of analysts, who had expected a smaller increase.
The new CFO Jens Schulte emphasized that revenues could be increased by seven percent without taking the treasury result into account. This shows that Deutsche Börse operates successfully even in a cyclically challenging environment. For the current year, the company expects net revenue excluding treasury results to increase by around nine percent to around 5.2 billion euros.
The operating profit (Ebitda) is also expected to increase to around 2.7 billion euros, excluding the treasury result, compared to 2.35 billion euros in the previous year. These forecasts underline management’s confidence in Deutsche Börse’s financial stability and growth potential.
