Toyah and Leanne Battersby (Georgia Taylor and Jane Danson) have been at each other’s throats for months now in Coronation Street, and tonight’s episode saw Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) return and promptly declare that enough is enough.

Viewers will know that Toyah left her sister absolutely shattered when she shacked up with Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) behind her back, while Leanne was in the grips of a sinister cult.

To make matters worse, it wasn’t just a one-off, with Nick and Toyah ultimately ending up as a couple, leaving Leanne out in the cold.

In tonight’s episode, Leanne finally had someone back on her side when sister Eva arrived, though she wasn’t going to be coddled.

Eva got straight down to business and insisted that Leanne go and get Toyah, so the three of them could put their differences aside once and for all.

However, when Leanne reluctantly headed to the Bistro on Eva’s instructions, she was horrified to walk straight in on Nick proposing to Toyah!

Furious, Leanne threw a drink on both of them before storming back to the Rovers, where Toyah later confronted her and Eva.

After berating Eva for not telling them she was moving back to Weatherfield, Toyah attempted to throw a drink at Leanne, but Eva managed to stop her just in time.

Fed up of her sisters being at each other’s throats, Eva took drastic action by emptying the pub of punters and locking the door, leaving just the three of them to have it out.

It was slow going, but eventually Eva got Leanne and Toyah sharing more than the odd harsh word as she pointed out that Nick was clearly the problem, given that he had slept with not just Toyah and Leanne, but Eva too.

She was quick to point out that this had caused friction between her and Leanne at the time, and questioned whether they really wanted history to keep repeating itself.

With the ice having finally thawed, it seemed as though Leanne and Toyah were back on speaking terms by the time the trio had finished bonding over Nick’s biggest flaws.

With one relationship repaired, Toyah headed back to the Bistro, where she had left Nick hanging after his proposal.

Alone with him in the office, Toyah admitted that she didn’t want to get married, as she was happy with things the way they were.

Will Toyah and Nick’s relationship last, and if it does, how long will her truce with Leanne remain strong?
