The country has a new justice system legitimized at the polls and that must respond to the high expectations generated by the changes in the structure of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) and the creation of new judicial bodies, said the magistrate of the Superior Chamber of the Electoral Court of the Judicial Branch of the Federation (TEPJF), Felipe de la Mata Pizaña.

By participating in the inauguration of the forum “Democracy, pluralism and interculturality: towards a new social constitutionalism”organized by the National Judicial Training School (ENFJ) and the Electoral Judicial School (AXIS), Felipe de la Mata Pizaña He indicated that these entities join efforts to strengthen judicial training in compliance with the mandate of the reform on the matter approved in 2024.

In the company of the magistrate of the Superior Chamber of the TEPJF, Gilberto Batiz Garciaand the general director of the ENFJmagistrate Sergio Javier Molina Martínezexplained that the reform proposed the transformation of the Federal School of Judicial Training at the ENFJ, as well as strengthening the AXISas an educational instance of State Mexican.

The magistrate Felipe de la Mata highlighted the significance of the AXIS as the school in charge of training in democratic and electoral matters incorporated into the new ENFJin which it will work “as it has done since 2018, with the quality expected by the broad public that will benefit from it and from it,” he highlighted.

For her part, the judge Claudia Valle Aguilasocho He stated that to enhance judicial independence it is necessary to put at the center the building of the people’s trust in the judges, who are now elected with the direct vote of the citizens.

When participating in the table “Judicial reform and election”, within the framework of the “Meeting of electoral authorities of the first constituency 2025”, he explained that to carry out the work of administering justice “we must deserve, have and create trust in the judges.
