They waste 10 million pesos in the Mega Offering; of resources from the Ministry of Culture, headed by Ana Francis López – Diario Basta!

Mexico City.- For the Zócalo Mega Offering inaugurated last weekend, the Secretary of Culture that heads Ana Francis Lopezcan spend up to 10 million pesos depending on the material required during the time it will be on display.

The agency that heads Lopez Bayghencommitted up to 10 million pesos that can be received by the company Servicios, Audio, Representaciones y Artistas SA de CV, for being in charge of the “comprehensive service to carry out the organization, production, realization and collaboration of the Day of the Dead 2025 Monumental Offering”, as stipulated in the contract CULTURA/DGAF/046/2025, whose public version was uploaded to the National Transparency Platform.

It should be noted that what the aforementioned company finally receives will be in accordance with the material and services that are required for this exhibition scheduled to be held for a week, however, the minimum that the company will have to receive is one million pesos of its public resources.

The services and materials of the CULTURA/DGAF/046/2025 contract include fences, pedestrian doors, goals, towers and audio works, modular stages, tents, stairs, screens and their bases, and lighting.

This offering is titled “encounter between voices, poems, pilgrimage, history and tradition”, it was designed by the Zion Art Studio collective, and was inaugurated by the head of Government of Mexico City, Clara Brugada, in an act in which the president pointed out that this visual material invites us to look at the pre-Hispanic goddess Tonantzin as part of our origins.

“To that great root that gave us life and sustains us. This offering represents Tonantzin, our mother, the goddess who from Tenochtitlán calls other creative and healing goddesses to all regions of the country (…) feminine forces represented in the offering come to the call of Tonantzin, feminine forces of water, wind, fire and corn,” he declared.
