This Tuesday, October 28, the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) announced that the construction of the highway was completed San Ignacio-Tayoltitaas part of the National Infrastructure Plan 2025-2030. This new communication is expected to generate greater security and connectivity.
Through a statement on the official SICT website, it was announced that this new highway was built, which connects the states of Durango and Sinaloawith the objective of promoting economic activity between both entities and their respective localities, which add up to more than five.
This project, according to the secretary, will benefit more than 11 thousand inhabitants of these states and will boost national tourism. This road had an investment of 3,170 million pesos; It has two lanes – one in each direction – for 96 kilometers.

The new cart has 14 bridges, three viaducts and a 515-meter tunnel known as “The DuranguenseAccording to the secretariat, the construction of this road began in 2019 and its execution generated more than 24 thousand direct and indirect jobs.
The secretariat stated that this road construction will reduce the travel time from the municipal seat of San Ignacio, in Sinaloa, to the town of Tayoltita, in Durango, to 10 hours, and will facilitate the transportation of agricultural, livestock and mining goods and products.
It also improves communication and strengthens the economic development of the communities of San Juan, Vado Hondo, Tepehuajes, Tenchoquelite, Los Brasiles and El Limoncito in the state of Sinaloa, and Tayoltita in the state of Durango.
