Chick-fil-A’s Latest Test Menu Items Have Fans Begging for a Nationwide Release ASAP

Chick-fil-A is currently testing a couple of new menu items in some franchise locations this month, and fans nationwide are already craving a taste of their own.

After much buzz on social media thanks to popular food creator @snackolator, fans of the popular fried chicken chain who know a thing or two about the franchise’s desserts have begun petitioning for the nationwide launch of the S’mores Milkshake and S’mores Frosted Coffee. But patience may need to be their virtue, as the two campfire-inspired dessert beverages are only being tested at select restaurant locations in Austin, Texas.

What We Know About S’mores Milkshake and Frosted Coffee Flavor, Chick-fil-A’s Latest Menu Test Items

Summer may be over, but the roasted, toasted flavors signature to s’mores, the ever-classic roasted marshmallow-chocolate-graham cracker treat, are eternal in Chick-fil-A’s s’mores drink menu items. The S’mores Frosted Coffee is as delightful as it sounds. The hand-spun frozen coffee beverage is a blend of cold-brewed coffee and Chick-fil-A’s proprietary Icedream frozen dessert mixed with a toasted marshmallow-flavored syrup and fudge-covered graham cracker pieces, according to an official description on the Chick-fil-A site.

If you want to tap into nostalgia without the coffee buzz, Chick-fil-A’s S’mores Milkshake runs in the same direction as the Frozen Coffee but on a different, equally delicious path. The milkshake also starts with a base made with Icedream, which is spun up with the same additions, minus the coffee: toasted marshmallow-flavored syrup and fudge-covered graham cracker pieces. Only here does the drink get topped with a toasted marshmallow-flavored whipped topping before the order is up. According to @snackolator, the two s’mores-themed drinks began a test run at locations in the Austin, Texas, market on Oct. 27, and it will run through Nov. 10 while supplies last.

Fans online who live in other parts of the country are hoping that soon they will get served more than just this lore, and many have expressed a similar sentiment, with one fan saying, “omgggg we need this nationwide.” Some, more eager than others, have expressed their determination to go the distance. “Will this be in the Austin airport?” asked one commenter. “Tempted to do a day trip fly for this.” Another person said, “Austin road trip now.”

If you’re nearby and curious, take a page out of these fans’ and head to Austin to snag a taste of these items before they’re gone. And if you can’t make it like the wind to Austin in a heartbeat, Chick-fil-A still has plenty of seasonal favorites in the holiday pipeline, such as the much-anticipated comeback of the Peppermint Milkshake.
