When Ben fails to find Will in Hull, he and Eva call in the police, unaware that Will is across the street. Paying Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) £20 to sneak into the Rover’s and steal his passport, she ultimately tells a horrified Ben and Eva, though their panic subsides when Will returns home, alongside Megan, his athletics teacher, who explains she found him sleeping in his old changing room and brought him home. When Will insists he wants to return to Hull, Ben presses him further – why did he need his passport?

Meanwhile, Carl continues to manipulate Debbie and orchestrates her booking a holiday, leaving him in charge of the hotel…and its bank account.

Also, Cassie sees through Tracy’s transparent attempt to end their feud when she tries to persuade her to talk Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) into giving up his claim on the flower shop. Offended at Tracy’s attempts to manipulate her, Cassie plots revenge.

Costello later books Becky a flight back to Spain, explaining that if she doesn’t take it, he’ll have her killed…just like he did with Tia Wardley.

Also, Will decides to skive his first day at school, roping Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall) into his scheme. As Will begins to open up about his girlfriend, they’re busted by Maggie, who finds them sharing a beer.
