Hundreds of bottles of designer champagne, whisky, and wine belonging to MaMkhize – real name Shauwn Mkhize – will go on auction next month.
The businesswoman and reality TV star has had many of her assets sold to pay off her R40 million SARS debt.
In her new role as Mbabalane Highlanders AM soccer boss, she has courted controversy for all the wrong reasons over the years, linked to allegations of tax evasion, tender fraud, and forgery.
MAMKHIZE’S DESIGNER DRINKS TO GO ON AUCTION
According to the auction house, Bidder’s Choice, hundreds of bottles of alcoholic beverages will go under the axe.
The auction will open on 25 November and close two days later.
The list of designer drinks– many of which are valued at several thousand rands – includes the following:
- Moet & Chandon champagne
- G. H. Mumm Brut champagne
- Veuve Clicquot champagne
- Courvoisier VSOP cognac
- Clase Azul Reposado tequila
- Rémy Martin XO cognac
- Dom Perignon wine
- Glenmorangie whisky
WHAT HAS BEEN SOLD?
To date, a long list of items belonging to MaMkhize have been sold at various auctions.
They include the following:
- Several construction vehicles and specialised equipment
- Over 20 designer handbags, with labels including Louis Vuitton, Burberry, and Gucci, have fetched hundreds of thousands.
- A 2021 Lamborghini Urus, which was auctioned off for an eye-watering R4,8 million.
