Trump reacts to Russia’s nuclear tests and orders the US nuclear arsenal to be tested “immediately”

The president of the United States, Donald Trumpindicated this Thursday that it has ordered to begin “immediately” testing the US nuclear arsenal “due to the testing programs of other countries”, after Russia carried out maneuvers of its nuclear forces.

“Due to other countries’ testing programs, I have instructed the War Department to begin testing our nuclear weapons on equal terms. That process will begin immediately,” Trump said through his social network Truth Social.

The Republican added that the US has “more nuclear weapons than any other country”followed by Russia and China in a “distant” third place.

Trump’s announcement, picked up by Efecomes after the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, directed land, sea and air maneuvers of the nuclear forces from the Kremlin on October 22.

In these “routine” exercises, according to Putin, Russian nuclear forces launched a Yars intercontinental ballistic missile -up to 12,000 kilometers in range- from the Plesetsk cosmodrome, which is located almost 800 kilometers north of Moscow.

The missile was launched towards the Kura range on the Kamchatka Peninsula, more than 6,000 kilometers from the launch site. The nuclear submarine ‘Briansk’ also participated in the maneuvers, which launched a Sineva ballistic missile from the Barents Sea, and several Tu-95C strategic bombers, which fired cruise missiles.

Those exercises took place after the Russian-American summit in Budapest was postponedwhen Moscow ruled out a cessation of hostilities in Ukraine as a condition for the resumption of peace negotiations.
