PETO.— Students from the Mayab Technological University carried out the presentation of Day of the Dead altars, which represented the customs of this holiday from various states of the country, in order to show the cultural diversity of Mexico.
One of the purposes of installing the representative altars of other entities was so that students could learn how the Day of the Dead is celebrated in other places.
The Gastronomy degree represented the State of Puebla, the Automotive Mechanics degree represented Chiapas, the Sustainable and Protected Agriculture degree represented Oaxaca, and finally the Information Technology degree represented Yucatán.
The event was demonstrative, with the purpose of promoting knowledge and appreciation of cultural roots, strengthening national identity and encouraging university participation through collaborative work and respect for the country’s cultural diversity.— MEGAMEDIA
