The recall comes after several consumers complained about finding pieces of plastic in the barbecue pulled pork sandwich. According to EA Sween the plastic came from the gallon plastic bottles used in production.
How to identify recalled Pulled Pork Sandwiches?
FSIS reported that the recalled barbecue pulled pork sandwiches were distributed to retail establishments across the country, including the Department of Defense.
- Product name (label): “Deli EXPRESS BBQ PULLED PORK on sesame bread.”
- Presentation: 5.5 ounce sandwiches wrapped in paper.
- Production dates: They were prepared on different dates between January 13, 2025 and October 15, 2025.
- Key Identifier (USDA Seal): The products subject to recall carry the establishment number “EST. 2451” inside the USDA inspection seal.
