CHETUMAL.- The October 29 went viral a news that generated concern among animal lovers and unleashed a wave of indignation in Chetumal.
An incinerator was reportedly accused of allegedly deliver land instead of the ashes of pets to their owners.
Citizen discovers the alleged deception
A woman reported that she did not receive her pet’s ashes, but rather a container with dirt. He reported that the day before there was delivered to his dog in the incineratortrusting that he would receive decent service. However, what was delivered did not correspond to what was expected.
While carrying out her daily activities, the citizen found the body of his pet in a vacant lot, still wrapped in the same sheets in which he had delivered him. That discovery confirmed their suspicions and ignited outrage on social networks.
Authorities investigate the case
After the complaint, municipal and state authorities spoke out on the matter. Besides, the discovery was reported of several lifeless animals in vacant land, presumably belonging to the same incinerator indicated.

During a press conference, the governor of Quintana Roo announced the start of a formal investigation against the company.
The Secretariat of Ecology and Environment (Semaqroo) and the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) of Quintana Roo They will be in charge of the investigations.

The state leader regretted the events and stressed the seriousness of the situation. “When you hand over your partner of life you believe in good will of the human being, in a dignified service.”

The investigation continues after graves with approximately 23 bodies of cats and dogs in a vacant lot in the area.
