After giving new life to Odete Roitman, the most iconic villain on Brazilian television, Deborah Bloch chose Portugal as vacation destination. The Brazilian actress chose Herdade da Malhadinha Novain Alentejo, as a refuge to recharge energy, after the success of the soap opera — which is still on display in Portugal.
Débora Bloch, aged 62, is one of the most recognized names in Brazilian fiction, with a career marked by roles in productions such as “Path of the Indies”, “Seven Lives” e “Sertão Nights”. This time, the actress decided swap the studios for the Alentejo fieldsenjoying the tranquility and rural landscape of Albernoa.
The news was shared by herself on social media. On Instagram, the actress published several images showing moments of relaxation and rest, accompanied by her husband, the Portuguese producer João Nuno Martins.
“Who killed Odete?”
A new version of the 80s soap opera follows Raquel Accioli (Taís Araujo), whose life takes a turn after separating from her husband and losing her father. Deciding to start over, she moves to Rio de Janeiro looking for new opportunities, but ends up betrayed by her own daughter, Maria de Fátima (Bella Campos), who sells the family’s only property without consulting her.
From then on, “Vale Tudo” returns to debate an issue that remains current: How valuable is everything to get ahead in life? The soap opera confronts the public with moral dilemmas, social inequalities and the eternal tension between ethics and ambition — themes that continue to resonate in Brazilian society and that helped transform this new version into a true cultural phenomenon.
“Vale Tudo” (2025) was one of the most talked about soap operas of the year in Brazil, breaking audience records in cities such as Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
