EAlthough I consider it unlikely, something extraordinary could happen in this term that could lead us to improve our appreciation of Donald Trump. Without forgetting other conflicts that persist on the planet, I am referring to the possible end of the war in Ukraine — which should never have started — following a commitment that seems to be intensifying after the calm achieved in Gaza. And if, on the one hand, this would be a demonstration of the leadership capacity that made him a super-millionaire, on the other it would be the affirmation of someone who really intends to remain in the history of Humanity. If peace happens, there will be no doubt that he will be the next Nobel Peace Prize laureate, as this year’s was relatively well chosen; although in my opinion the distinction should have been attributed to the Secretary General of the UN, who, as much or more than anyone else before, has made a lot of effort so that all people can live in peace and quiet. But this does not happen due to the anti-democratic stance and self-interest of several powerful nations and that entity achieves little more than being a humanitarian aid organization at the service of the nations that constitute it.
