The head of Government of Mexico City, Clara Brugada, assured that there will be no impunity in the case of the dreports of rape of a teenager from the Casa de las Mercedes shelter.
The capital’s president warned that “whoever dares to touch a girl in this City will be punished with the full weight of the law. And even more so when it comes to minors who do not have their family and that this forces us all to act immediately.”
The complaint of rape was what triggered the operation that was carried out on Wednesday at the two headquarters of the Casa de Las Mercedes, for the rescue of 80 girls and adolescents who are under the protection of the authorities. and it is analyzed where they will be relocated.
Brugada asserted that the City Government acted immediately when it learned of the complaint of the teenager’s sexual assault, but the incident occurred outside the facilities.
In March 2025, A teenager under the protection of the Casa de Las Mercedes Social Assistance Center was irregularly transferred by its director Ángela “N”, to the home of her mother Claudia “N”, where she was probably forced to do domestic work.
“In this place, the victim indicates that Aquiles “N” sexually assaulted her after giving her a substance that prevented her from resisting.”
He explained that during the following months the victim reported having been subjected to threats, harassment and intimidation by the institution, who warned him that he could lose custody of his son if the facts were reported.
