This article contains spoilers for tonight’s Coronation Street, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on ITVX.
Carla Connor (Alison King) has only been back on the cobbles of Coronation Street for a few days, but already Becky Swain (Amy Cudden) has done her utmost to drive her and Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) apart.
While Carla was in Ireland for a family funeral, Becky seized the opportunity to worm her way back into family life, determined to win back Lisa and daughter Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin).
When Carla returned earlier this week, Becky wasted no time in letting her know she had stayed on the sofa at No.6 while she was away, leaving Carla suspicious.
Becky’s admission caused tension between Carla and Lisa, but the detective sergeant managed to talk her fiancé round.
Unfortunately, Becky’s antics in tonight’s episode were a step too far, and had Carla lashing out at her love rival.
After finding the video of Becky and Lisa modelling Betsy’s college designs, Carla was already in a bad mood, which Becky took full advantage of.
With Carla having left the Halloween party, Becky decided to show her face, and put her plan to win Lisa back into action.
As Lisa sat in a booth with Becky and Betsy, her wife drew her attention to the song that was playing, which Betsy quickly recognised as their first dance.
As they continued to reminisce about the wedding, with Betsy reading out their vows, Lisa grew overwhelmed and rushed off to the toilets in tears.
It was there that Becky made her move, kissing Lisa after a charged conversation.
Lisa wasted no time in pushing her away, and headed straight home to let Carla know what Becky had done.
Carla did not take it well, immediately storming over to the pub to rail at Becky, warning her that she’d be better off being dead again if she ever touched Lisa again.
Back at home, Carla could barely contain her rage as she pointed out the timing of Becky’s kiss, and how she had waited until Carla was back to make her move to cause optimum damage.
After Becky had left, Lisa assured her that she’d only be around to see Betsy, but Carla wasn’t sure she trusted that.
As Lisa tried to plead her case, insisting that her future was with Carla, the factory boss told her she needed space, before heading off to seek advice from Roy Cropper (David Neilson).
Will Carla be able to put the events of Halloween behind her and move on with Lisa, or will Becky continue to make things as difficult as possible?
