Josh Brolin has been an actor for decades, having made his entry into Hollywood with the cult classic movie,The Goonies. Now starring in The Running Man, Brolin told his co-star Glen Powell the one secret to how he’s stood the test of time in his Hollywood career.
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Powell verified that Broling once revealed the secret is keeping things less hairy with good manscaping.
“Nobody knows this, I’m a super, super hairy guy. I have back hair. I have butt hair. But I’ve manscaped since I was 9 months old,” revealed Brolin.
It appeared that the actor wasn’t joking despite Powell’s obvious shock over the reveal. Fans can easily recount more than a few on-screen roles where Brolin had barred his backside to the camera.
He went bare in the 2013 remake of the South Korean movie Oldboy, and hasn’t been shy about posting photos of himself discreetly naked on Instagram. He even teased a nude photo of himself when filming the series Outer Banks for Season 2, joking he was having lunch outside in the Santa Fe desert.
His TheRunning Man co-star has also had his fair share of baring-it-all scenes. In Anyone But You, his character strips naked at the top of a cliff after a spider is pulled from his shorts. Powell also posed nearly nude for his Men’s Health magazine cover shoot.
For the 2025 movie, Powell recounts an embarrassing moment where he filmed a scene rappelling down the face of a building in a towel. He describes wearing a “marble sack” and soon realizing that the crew inside the building got a full frontal show.
“So I’m wearing a pouch under, and then I’m wearing a towel around it,” he said. “But then you’re rappelling down a building. And, you know, when you’re going down the building and you see a window, you don’t realize there’s people in there, like, lighting and doing electric.”
The Running Man premiered November 7.
