Former Saturday Night Live star Leslie Jones has reignited her feud with a “d–khead” director with whom she clashed while working on the sketch show. Jones made the most recent remarks on an episode of Vulture’s Good One podcast released on Oct. 30.
‘I Don’t Like Him’
Jones recalled that the “a–hole” director cornered her at the SNL 50th anniversary taping in February. “First of all, I don’t like him,” Jones clarified. “He comes over to me, and you know I don’t like him. ‘Oh Leslie, that’s just what happened.’ Shut up, yous was a f–king a–hole.” The Ghostbusters star continued: “Paul Rudd sees that I don’t like him. So Paul is like, ‘Oh, I’m enjoying this.’ The [director] goes, ‘I want to take a picture with you.’ I’m not taking a f–king picture with you. You’re a piece of s–t. I’m not gonna take a picture with you.”
After Rudd snapped the photo, Jones said, “I wanted to kill [the director], and I just said, ‘Get your f–king hand off me.’”
Jones Previously Blasted the Director
Jones previously spoke about her difficult relationship with the director during an appearance on the Toure podcast in February. The incident in question reportedly arose while Jones and co-star Kyle Mooney were filming a November 2017 sketch in which they pretended to be married. Though Jones never named the director, the episode credits Dave McCary for the sketch. McCary is a veteran SNL writer and director who is now married to Bugonia star Emma Stone.

“The guy who would direct those was a f–king a–hole,” Jones said. McCary directed several other sketches in which Mooney and Jones played lovers. “And I don’t give a f–k if you see this. You still are, probably, a f–king d–head. A f–king narcissistic d–khead. He [was] just one of the white boys who thought he’s doing Shakespeare,” Jones continued. “No, this is a f–king sketch, and you’re not funny and you’re not creating nothing beautiful. You’re just being an a–hole with this tedious f–king s–t.”
